On February 27th, 2016, Houston will have its
very first hip hop festival at Warehouse Live. Houston is a city with an
excellent hip hop scene. Houston’s Hip Hop scene is a crucial part of
understanding the city.
In the early 1990s, Houston exploded into the hip hop scene,
with a unique, slowed down version of hip hop pioneered by DJ Screw. It was
named “Screwed and Chopped” music. Houston is a city with an almost entirely
unique musical style and it is spearheaded by Houston’s hip hop scene.
I love Texas Hip Hop and it was born out of Houston. Houston
is a great city, not only for its economy and beauty, but its culture as well.
That sounds really cool. Love the fact that Houston will have their own music festival.
